Vacation: Eden Roc, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Truly felt blessed having won this amazing vacation courtesy of Allure Magazine and Eden Roc (Best of Beauty 2013). My boyfriend Tom and I took off on the 10th of this month and started an amazing relaxing vacation on the beach to a country the two of us have never been to! 

The Dominican Republic was certainly beautiful. We arrived in Punta Cana in the afternoon and were taken to the resort. Tom had never been to another country (unless you count Canada which is basically 10 feet away from us here) so I was really looking forward to him experiencing something different! Everywhere you look was like a desktop image... perfection, but real!

I took so many photos of our trip, I tried to carry my camera everywhere because I just wanted to capture all the beautiful bits of DR. Everything we ate was spectacular. I eating was one of the most exciting parts because we had fresh delicious fish (and much more) every day! But of course just sitting on the beach with our feet in the perfect beach-combed white sand was something that could not be replicated.

We had a golf cart for the entirety of our trip, which we took EVERYWHERE we could go! We searched out another beach, which was very cool to see as well. We also explored the Marina, where we accidentally walked onto a movie set! The beach at the Marina was also very nice, and I was able to pick up some lovely shells from the shore. We sat on the rocks for a bit and watched as dark clouds rolled in, even though it didn't even rain.

Another part of the trip I was looking forward to was The Spa at Eden Roc. The Spa at Eden Roc was beautiful, and I wish I had time to experience more than just a massage and facial. They really took care of us and we walked away so refreshed.

It was hard to leave what we had made as our home away from home. Everyone we met was so accommodating and willing to answer any question we had. Not only were the workers at Eden Roc wonderful, they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and felt comfortable.
