Featured Etsy Shop: Lux Divine

As a small business owner, I love to shine the light on other artists doing the same as I. We put a lot of time and effort into these stores and it really shows in Lux Divine's shop. Lux Divine is a bohemian collective, each piece is perfected and gorgeous. Here's a bit taken from Jessica of Lux Divine's profile:
"I began designing jewelry when I was in high school. I have always known that making jewelry is what I was meant to do with my life. I taught myself how to do wire wrapping and beading and also attended the Gemological Institute of America where I became certified in Gemology and Diamond Grading, Casting, Mold-making, design, CAD/CAM, wax carving and learned many other skills.

Gems are my real passion. I love mixing colors and making new combinations. I am so fascinated on how gems and minerals grow. It takes a lot of work for Mother Nature! I am obsessed with Gold but silver is a close second. I am mostly inspired by nature, the colors, the smells and even the sound of the ocean inspires me. People inspire me as well. I love designing when I have my family or friends around because I love getting opinions and feedback and usually the project turns out better when everyone I love is helping out:) My family is so supportive of my life purpose and motivate me to bring out my creativity in a way that can make any woman feel beautiful. I am truly blessed!"

New In Fashion: Free People November 2013 Catalog

Free People is one of my favorite mainstream mall brands. It's bohemian, it's girly, it's bad-ass. I don't normally wear bohemian clothing, you can find me mostly in blacks, but these pieces are immaculate in design and I can't help but gravitate towards them. Free People always does pants right. I find myself lusting after the Gardenia Printed Corduroy Flare and the Starry Night Harem Pant which is just doing printed pants all of the right ways. The shoes are all to die for, booties of all different heights and styles and soft looking leather. I want to cozy up in the Snowflake Pullover  and the Shaggy Sherpa Coat for the rest of winter. And of course I want to go out to a ball in this amazing Golden Chalice Maxi, total swoon worthy.
This lookbook hit November right on the head. Layers of warmth and jewels leading into what will soon be winter here in Buffalo.

Buffalo Happenings: Blush Boutique Grand Opening

I am always excited to hear of a new boutique opening in my area of Buffalo. I love to see this city thrive and grow, and especially one that is so darn cute and filled to the brim with trendy fashions. The store is on Elmwood Avenue in a growing area of the strip. Albeit small, they have really packed some of my favorite brands in there. Also it just happens to be down a couple blocks from my apartment, oh how convenient.

I was invited last night to the grand opening event and I stopped by to take a peek at what they have in stores. Some of my favorite brands they carry were Dolce Vita, For Love and Lemons, Ladakh, Mink Pink, BB Dakota, and House of Harlow.

They also carry Henry and Belle denim and Elan, which I spotted the most precious cream lace dress by. They carry sizes extra small through large, something for everyone. Their jewelry selection was also to die for, it was hard to restrain  myself from buying a couple pieces.

If you're in Buffalo, NY make sure you stop by the shop at 1005 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo, NY
and you'll receive 15% off this weekend as it is the grand opening!

Rodarte F/W 2013: Top 3 Looks

The F/W 2013 Rodarte collection is a mix of hards and softs and patterns galore. The flowiness of the gowns contrasts so well with the barbed wire jewelry and creeper shoes. It was hard to pick a top three but these are my favorite looks from the show this season.
Tie dye maxi draped dress is like something you think you could try and DIY but wouldn't come out nearly as cool.

The print on this dress is spot on, a mix between a galaxy and the texture of the moon. And the shoes of course.... are amazing.

This dress is immaculate, also shown in the collection in cream (Cream Rodarte Dress). But if you know me I am a sucker for black.
